Plurality is an student-led, peer-reviewed, Open Access journal. All content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, unless otherwise stated. There are no fees to access or publish in the journal.

 


Aims & Scope

Plurality, started in December 2023, focuses on using an intersectional lens to understand topics within the humanities and social sciences. The publication has six sections which it publishes: Philosophy and Divinity, Art and Literature, Social Sciences, History and Classics, Law, and Miscellaneous Musings. The journal is a dedicated space for undergraduate intersectional thought and pieces which use a critical lens to analyze new or existing topics within the disciplines the journal includes. The publication is focused on increasing the accessibility of academia and helping undergraduates and new writers get their work published.

 


Governance & Ownership

Plurality is owned and governed by the journal editors. Copyright to papers published within the journal issues are owned by their respective authors under Creative Commons licenses. The journal is published by the University of Edinburgh – a charitable body. Edinburgh Diamond – a service based within the University of Edinburgh Library – acts as the Publishing Partner by providing publishing services.

Plurality is currently seeking indexing arrangements.

Publication Frequency

Plurality publishes two issues per year, one in June and one in December.
