Overview of the process
1. WRITER'S WORKSHOP
Come meet editors at an optional writer'sworkshop! Hear from the executive team how the theme was selected and why it's relevant today before each regional editor presents on their ideas for the issue. Afterwards, ask any questions you might have or pitch an idea!
2. SUBMIT PROPOSAL
Pitch your idea formally in a short proposal so that we can curate a diverse and well-rounded issue to represent the theme! Regional editors will be in touch shortly to let you know if your idea has been accepted.
3. REGIONAL EDITS
Work with the regional editor as much as you want while developing a draft. Then go meet with them one-on-one for top-notch feedback. Work through different drafts to refine your research and writing.
4. COPYEDITS
Our swift team of copyeditors will triple check your article for any issues with spelling, grammar or citations.
5. PEER REVIEW
Our expert peer reviewers will read your polished article and accept it or send it back with feedback based on extensive knowledge of the field and Leviathan's rigorous academic standards.
6. EXECUTIVE CHECK
The Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor and Secretary will read over every last article to inform the issue's forward and as one last quality check.
7. PRODUCTION
This is where our articles goes from being Word documents to a beautiful pages of the journal you know and love, vis a vis our knowledgeable, detail-oriented designers!
8. PUBLICATION!
That beautiful design goes off to the presses and gets distributed around campus for everyone to enjoy.
