Regional Editor
Regional Editors are the backbone of Leviathan, and right now we have positions open for the Africa Region, the Europe and Russia Region, the East Asia and Pacific Region, and the Latin America Region.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for authors in your region.
- Provide constructive feedback on drafts, engaging in two to three rounds of revisions per article.
- Edit a maximum of two articles per semester.
- Ensure proper academic essay structure and offer effective feedback.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of academic essay structure.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt; training provided.

- Maintain responsiveness via email.
- Timeliness is crucial to keep the journal on schedule.
Chief Regional Editor
The Chief Regional Editor is in charge of overseeing and managing our team of Regional Editors
Responsibilities:
- Manage regional editors, ensuring they meet deadlines and offering assistance when needed.
- Utilize strong management and administrative skills to maintain timetables and facilitate communication within the team.
- Provide direct editing support if necessary to keep projects on track.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional management and administrative skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with regional editors and the executive team.

Copy Editor
We are hiring four copy editors this year. Copy Editors are in charge of checking grammar, citation style, and general formatting to ensure that articles are free of errors and have a standardized format.
Responsibilities:
- Review articles for grammar, citation style, and formatting accuracy.
- Utilize our provided style guide for editing.
- Proficiency in British English grammar and academic citation styles is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
- Focus solely on grammar and formatting, not content.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in British English grammar and academic citation styles (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail.

Chief Copy Editor
Our Chief Copy Editor is in charge of managing the Copy Editor team, ensuring they stay on schedule and assisting with any issues they encounter.

Peer Reviewer
Our Peer Reviewers are experienced students (must be graduate or postgraduate) that ensure that our articles meet the standards of Leviathan.
Responsibilities:
- Review articles to uphold Leviathan's publication standards.
- Identify and address unwarranted claims, misleading data, and personal bias in submitted articles.
- Ensure all published work is free from plagiarism and meets academic scrutiny.
Qualifications:
- Typically graduate or postgraduate students.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to attend weekly meetings.
- Responsiveness to team emails.
- Punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.

Our Chief of Marketing helps advertise Leviathan to ensure our readers know when and where our journal is published.
Responsibilities:
- Promote Leviathan to increase journal awareness and readership.
- Advertise journal updates, including open positions and proposal calls.
- Maintain an active and engaging presence on social media platforms.
- Facilitate the promotion of relevant job postings.
- Respond promptly to inquiries on social media.
- Expand the reach and visibility of Leviathan.
