Peer Review Process
EAR uses a double-anonymous review model, meaning that neither authors nor reviewers are aware of each other’s identities. All submissions first undergo an internal assessment by the editorial team to ensure they fall within the scope of the journal and the theme of the current call. At this stage, editors may return to authors with initial comments or suggested clarifications before the manuscript proceeds further, particularly if small adjustments could strengthen the submission.
If the manuscript passes this preliminary review, it is sent for external peer review. This involves two peer reviewers being assigned, selected from the ECA faculty and specific to the paper's subject, who will evaluate both the written content and any accompanying material. Their reports are then used by the editor to make a final decision.
Authors whose papers require revisions will be given adequate time to address the reviewers’ comments before the manuscript moves to the final stages of editing and publication.
