Leviathan Hiring Peer Reviewers

15-Sep-2020

Leviathan, the University of Edinburgh’s most prestigious student-run academic journal, is looking for new additions to our peer review team for the 2020-2021 academic year. As a political journal, we seek peer reviewers from all schools and areas of expertise to ensure that all of our articles are factually accurate. This is an excellent opportunity for postgraduates to enhance their CVs and engage in ongoing scholarly research and discussion. Additionally, it’s an exciting way to meet and network with other academics.

We are looking for postgraduate students who will provide an academic assessment of each article, giving anonymous feedback on whether articles meet the highest journalistic and academic standards and contribute to existing scholarship on the subject. We provide full training in peer review as well as additional resources, so no previous experience is required. We ask only that peer reviewers be sufficiently well-researched within their field of postgraduate study to provide quality, comprehensive feedback. Peer reviewers will each be asked to read 3-6 articles per issue and provide feedback. If you are interested in working with Leviathan this year, please send your CV and a cover letter to leviathan.recruitment@gmail.com.
