About the Journal
The Edinburgh Student Journal of Science is a student-run, peer-reviewed journal which intends to highlight the multidisciplinary research carried out by undergraduate students within schools of the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Edinburgh.
The journal is a way for students to gain experience in writing, preparing, and publishing their work. Works from later year undergraduate students within the college are welcome, whether they result from academic projects, summer internships/projects, or independent research. Articles written collaboratively by groups of students are also welcome. More details about the submission process and full criteria for prospective authors can be found in the 'Submissions' tab.
The journal is published three times a year and is available to read, submit to, and publish in without fees. Each article is peer-reviewed by PhD students, professionally formatted, and receives a DOI with indexing across numerous academic databases (Google Scholar, CrossRef etc.). All submissions are processed through this website using our online software.
Feel free to get in touch with us at ESJS@ed.ac.uk if you have any questions about submitting, or the journal itself.
