Abstract

There is a growing trend among library and information science students in Indonesia to apply textual analysis and text mining, with some outputs published in academic journals. However, many Indonesian library journals face challenges such as missing issues, discontinued publication, and limited accessibility. This project addresses both issues by creating an open textual dataset of library and information science articles and supporting long-term content preservation. Articles are converted into six standard sections (abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion) and stored in an open data repository with a dedicated platform for searching and downloading. To date, more than 5,500 library-related articles published in Indonesia have been collected. The project uses open infrastructure to minimise costs and provides a reader-friendly interface that allows users to customise display features. Future work will expand journal coverage and develop a database that maps grassroots initiatives and movements in Indonesian library practice.
