A Letter from the Editor

Inna Yaneva-Toraman completed her BSc in Sociology at Middle East Technical University, Turkey and her MSc in Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh, UK. She is currently a PhD student in Social Anthropology at the same institution. Her research explores the masking practices and mortuary rites of the Baining of East New Britain (PNG). Research interests include: the anthropology of the body, personhood, masks, death, Melanesia, material culture, religion and ritual, and affect theory. Additionally, she is interested in modern art, Surrealism, Expressionism, Internet culture, role-playing games, prosthetics and science fiction.
